Telstra Now Lets You Add Google Play Purchases To Your Phone Bill

Forget Google Checkout. Telstra is now letting its users put Google Play purchases onto their phone bills. Hello, common sense. We missed you.

Starting from today, Telstra users can bill purchases made on the Google Play store to their Telstra mobile phone bill. That means you won’t have to give Google your credit card details anymore which has to be a good thing, right?

Telstra users from today will see a new option when buying Android apps labelled “Bill My Telstra Account”. All post-paid customers are limited to $100 in app purchases a month on their bill, but this can be adjusted after a call to customer support.

Telstra’s also doing a few app deals to celebrate. Until December 18, you can get these apps half-price:

• HD Widgets
• Swiftkey 3
• Soundhound Infinity
• Paper Camera
• Smart Tools
• Endomondo Pro
• Ocean HD
• Mini Motor Racing
• World of Goo
• Sketchbook Mobile
• Star Chart
