Though they’re not exactly like the Nike Air Mag — the glorious Back to the Future shoes — these Under Armour Charge BB Basketball Shoes are so comically high top that they feel like they’re from the same future. I like it.
The UA Charge promises the support of a high top with the feel of a low top. The upper is made of two-pieces to “articulate” around your ankle to keep it secure while the entire shoe uses sweat-wicking materials to keep your foot cool, dry and hopefully stinkfree. Inside the shoe are foam pods, Micro G foam cushions, TPU shanks and Micro G sockliners — all purposefully placed to prevent twists and rolls and add cushion and comfort. It’s a basketball shoe that looks like it’s from the year 2050.
