You Won't Want To Hide This Gorgeous Power Bar Under Your Desk

When jammed full of plugs and adaptors, your typical power bar is an eyesore you're happy to stash out of sight. But Punkt's new ES 01 wrangles all your power cables in a beautiful UFO-like design that you just might want to put on display right next to the photos of your kids.

Available in versions for varying outlet styles around the world, the ES 01 comes with a cover that not only keeps it looking neat and tidy, but also helps prevent the plugs from accidentally being knocked loose. Each unit expands a single outlet into five, although there's a good chance your beefier wall warts might not be able to squeeze under that cover. There's no pricing info just yet, but you'll be able to snag one in red, white or black to match or complement most office decors when they get released.

Hopeless for most offices due to the massively over-sized DC converter plugs on office gadgets (routers, speakers etc.)

Why companies still have those big brick plugs is beyond me. Or ones where the cable is 90 degrees to the plug. At least put it part way up the cord.

I can't find a source online for this but i did hear that an AC/DC converter legally can't be moulded inline on a cable.
Apparently laptop chargers get away with it because their AC cable is detachable, so cheap AC adapters forgo this extra connector and it's associated cost by moulding the transformer into the plug.

Then someone really needs to change that law. Or make better power boards. 6 points might come with 2 spaced out ports, but that's never enough, more than 50% of my stuff has those annoying bricks.

If that style was the norm and someone went and invented a long thin in line version we would all be thinking why no one had thought of it sooner.

Exactly, though it is great for those who need their cables out in the open (but neat), or have a corresponding space/burning need to have everything in their minimalist office look awesome.
    To each their own
