Even though most of us grew up in a time when digital watches were the norm, learning how to read an analogue clock face is a handy skill that would have been far easier to master were there only one moving hand like on these lovely Defakto watches.
These beautifully minimalist timepieces combine the hour and minute hands into a single sweeping arm that makes a full rotation twice a day. Because the hand ticks forward every five minutes, you can still get a fairly accurate sense of the time at a quick glance. It’s probably not for those with a strong prescription, but for those of us keen on simpler designs it’s $US340 well spent. Unless, of course, you’re completely dependent on a digital display.
