Astronaut Plays The International Space Station Vacuum Like A Didgeridoo

Our favourite space station resident, Don Pettit, is back with a follow-up video to his demonstration of how sound waves behave in water droplets in zero gravity.

This time around, though, instead of playing boring sine wave sound files, he plays the station’s vacuum cleaner (surprisingly not a Dyson) like a didgeridoo. He even ensures he looks like a typical didgeridoo player by hacking apart his crew shirt with a pair of scissors. It’s all in the name of science and education, of course, and while we all know that being an astronaut is an awesome job, who knew it was actually so much damn fun? [YouTube via Popular Science]
