George Lucas tried to improve the original Star Wars trilogy with CG enhancements, but little did he know those beloved films could be even more awesome by re-casting the leads with our favorite cartoon characters. Bender as Darth Vader? Yes, please. Also: the voices of Fry, Pinky and the Brain, Ironhide, Batman and more!
This momentous reading of the original Star Wars screenplay took place at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, and featured some of the most recognisable cartoon characters from voice actors like Billy West, Tara Strong, Maurice LaMarche, John DiMaggio, Kevin Conroy, Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen. Had Lucas cast Pinky and the Brain in The Phantom Menace, maybe there wouldn't have been so much backlash. [YouTube via Topless Robot]
