Artist David Keochkerian is definitely onto something. Or on something — these long-exposure shots of sparks going wild can safely be placed in the "psychodelic" category.
Not that you need to ingest any questionable substances to achieve this amazing effect. All it takes is flames, steel wool and a camera capable of long exposures. Getting images as good as this, however, might take some doing, as nothing can quite make up for years of experience with composition, framing and timing. And, unless you have a sidekick, you'll need to find the time to stand and spin the wool around to create those majestic-looking rings.
