Leica Is Charging $20,000 For The Color White

Leica makes beautiful, very expensive cameras that work wonderfully. The M9-P is no exception: 18 megapixels, gorgeously retro. But if you buy this $US32,000 limited edition, you are a moron.

The standard M9-P is already crashing the bank: $US8000 out the door. But this one is $US31,770. Why? It is white. It also comes with a nice f/0.95 50mm lens, but, really, you’re paying tens of thousands of dollars for part of the visible spectrum. A small part. Is that worth it to you? if the answer is yes, perhaps you should reevaluate your life, or give some of that money to ongoing tsunami relief instead, as this is only available in Japan. [OhGizmo]
