Call it a long shot, but I'm guessing this photo was taken in French-Canadian province of Quebec. The word "rue" on the street sign sort of gives it away. Sure, it's beautiful and eerie how the ice is slowly slipping away from the sign, like moulting metal snake... but am I the only one that wants to run up and smash it to pieces? [Reddit]
