While it’s still years away from reaching the scope of what Netflix has to offer in the US and UK, Aussie company Quickflix has announced a partnership with HBO, which will see it offering shows like The Sopranos, Entourage, Sex and the City and more through the WatchNow video on demand subscription service.
Notable in its absence is recent hit Game of Thrones, which indicates most HBO content will be from the archive rather than frash off the shelf. There’s no official word on when the content will appear, other than “soon”. Either way, having the quality programming from HBO available as part of the monthly subscription cost is a sure fire way to get more people to sign up.
