Telstra’s often lauded as the network to go to if you want the fastest and most reliable data speeds, but it looks as if the big T might have hit a bit of a speed bump when it comes to delivering pre-ordered iPhone 4S handsets.
I’d put the lower than expected queue numbers at the iPhone 4S launch down to the fact that you can pre-order, and really, unless you had to be one of the absolute first, why wouldn’t you? Instead of waiting out in the early hours of Friday morning for a phone, you could simply wait to have it delivered to your home.
Or, as it appears for a reasonably large number of Telstra’s customers, keep on waiting. Telstra’s CrowdSupport site is full of threads — for some reason, two forum areas worth — from annoyed pre-order customers awaiting their shiny new handsets. I’ve put a call into Telstra to see if there’s an official explanation for the delay, but in the meantime, how’s the Gizmodo readership faring in terms of waiting for pre-ordered iPhone 4S units?
