Why Can’t iPad Multitasking Work Like This?

We spent so long clamouring for any kind of iOS multitasking that maybe we forgot to specify what kind of multitasking we wanted. Or maybe we just never realised it could be as tidy and wonderful and yes as this mockup.

The concept shown in the video above springs not from Apple’s R&D department, but from the mind of Marcos Antonio de Lima Filho. He imagines an iPad interface in which open apps are browsed as huge panes instead of tiny thumbs, showing you where you left off in any given program. Which is to say, he imagines an iPad interface with a healthy infusion if webOS. And it’s sublime. [Twitter via The Next Web]
