Watch A Stop-Motion Video Explain The Science Of Sound

Vi Hart, the soothing voice behind stop motion science-y explanations, is back at it again. In her latest video, she’s showing you sound. Yup, she draws, annotates, illustrates, plays notes and visualises every little nit and grit there is to know.

Turns out, there’s a lot more than just beautiful voices and head-nodding instruments, there’s crazy things like fluids and brain transmissions and distance and spirals and basically everything in the world but sound in sound. As nerdy and in-depth as Vi gets, she keeps it light and fun and easy to understand (the stop motion animation really works). If only she was a professor when I was in college! [YouTube]
