The Australian launch of the slimmed-down Galaxy Tab 10.1 is postponed. Samsung is battling Apple in court. You know this. But have you seen seen the new widgets in the latest TouchWiz software update? Or the Bluetooth / keyboard case combo and HDMI adapter? Here’s what Samsung showcased overnight in the US.
Samsung wants the new TouchWiz tweaks to improve the visual look and feel of the tablet. They’ve added Swype support and a resizable keyboard, a mini apps tray, and “Live panel” — a magazine-like collection of widgets the live on the home screen. “Quick Panel” improves one-click access to system settings like Wi-Fi, and new Music, Social and Media Hubs pretty much do what it says on the tin.
On the accessories front, Samsung has kind of gone to town:
– HDMI adapter ($US40)
– Keyboard Dock ($US80)
– Combo Bluetooth Keyboard / Case ($US150)
– Dock With HDMI output ($50)
– SD card reader (US$30)
– Stylus ($19)
Now the question is: When will the Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch actually launch in Australia?
