Caught In The Act Of Texting

Photographer Joseph Holmes, in his series “Texters”, turns something we see everyday – people just tapping away at the phones – into works of art. Shot over a two-month period, they’re like little slices of life.

What’s funny is, given all the things smartphones can do, they may not even be texting. I wonder what these people are really doing. For instance, this man could very well be texting, lost while his bubbles escape him.

While this guy’s definitely adjusting the instagram filter on a beach shot.

She’s checking into her place of work.

And these guys… I don’t even know. Reddit probably. Check out more of Mr Holmes’ work on Flickr. [Engadget, NYT]
