Kerouac‘s classic fuck you, I’m special novel is so ubiquitous among the adolescent literary elite that you don’t really have to have read it to feel like you’ve read it five times. Like me! But now there’s an app!
Available for both iPhone and iPad ($US7.50 and $15.99, respectively (though the iPhone app is currently unavailable in the Australian iTunes store)), the Kerouapp (not actual name) will include an interactive map along with the book itself—presumably of the road he was on—plus audio recordings and biographical information. Not a bad deal if you’re considering reading the thing—though what kind of Kerouac-esque free spirit owns an Apple product? We’re not, like, corporate sheep, dudes.
