I don’t know what sort of machine is capable of spitting out perfect little orbs of water droplets but this one can. The machine oozes out water in a 21×21 grid and the individual balls just sticks to the surface.
The material the water rests on has a special omniphobic texture to let the droplet keep its shape. After approximately 300 minutes, and when the water has all evaporated, the machine will re-create the 441 water drops again. Kind of mesmerizing to see. [Vimeo via Neatorama]
