San Francisco Is Giving Away Free Charges To Electric Cars

San Francisco, you lovely place you. The city by the bay is installing at least 90 new charging stations in city-owned parking garages for electric vehicles to juice up… for free.

The stations will include both 110v and the fast-charge 240v options which people can just plug into with no worries. The idea is to get more people to buy electric cars and it doesn’t cost the city too much, as each charge is around $US3. Great idea for a great city. [The Examiner via Venture Beat]
