Another week, another nuclear setback at Fukushima. This time, TEPCO’s noticed what appears to be contaminated water gushing out of a containment tank, Reuters reports – a development that’ll make cleaning up the facility even trickier.
The tank in question, a holding area inside a waste disposal building, needs to be decontaminated as part of Fukushima’s permanent shutdown. But with a leak, that operation is now in danger, along with local groundwater and the Pacific. [Reuters]
