First Mainland NBN Services Being Switched On Tomorrow

title=Armidale residents in the NBN first release zone are about to get their fair share of media attention, with PM Julia Gillard and her trusty sidekick Stephen Conroy set to officially launch the first mainland NBN services tomorrow.

According to Josh Taylor over at ZDNet, the Armidale site in NSW has about 2,900 premises within the first release zone, with about 90 per cent of them opting in to the service. That’s a lot better than the Tassie first release sites.

Here’s hoping they have another one of those NBN cakes to celebrate the occasion. That looked delicious.
