After months and months of speculation, Sony Ericsson have finally officially unveiled the Playstation Phone. Not at a big event or even Mobile World Congress – they did it with a Superbowl commercial.
The commercial was the same creepy one we saw last week, which saw a friendly Android body grafted with human thumbs. The official launch of the phone is going to happen next week, which means Sony Ericsson has taken the unusual step of advertising the device before its officially been announced. Given that it’s an Android handset with dedicated gaming buttons it will be interesting to see how Sony are planning to regulate controls for Android Playstation games. I guess we’ll find out on the 13th…
