Fujifilm FinePix XP30 Is Waterproof, Shockproof, Dustproof, Freezeproof…and Now Has GPS

If you’re the type of person who needs a rugged camera, it makes sense to get one that’s rugged all the way around. The FinePix XP30 is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, and freezeproof, and now it can geotag all your adventures.

The XP30 doesn’t mind taking a beating. Where it’s predecessor, the XP10, was freezeproof to -10 degrees C and dustproof, the XP30 maintains those distinctions and adds “waterproof to 16 feet” and “shockproof to 5″ to its list. It’s GPS-equipped, so you’ll know where you are when you’re taking your action shots, but it’s got a sensitive side, too—a 14MP CCD sensor, 2.7” anti-reflective LCD screen, 5x wide angle lens, dual image stabilisation, and it shoots 720p video. It’ll be available in mid-February in the States for $US240, or without the GPS a month later for $US200. [Fujifilm]
