Sony Ericsson Cedar Is Made Up Of Social Network Wood

title=Sony Ericsson’s Cedar handset is one of those phones you’d probably never look twice at. Until you compare the spec list and the price and see that you get a fairly capable HSPA smartphone* for $79 on prepaid.

Okay, it’s not really a smartphone as such. But it does feature support for Exchange Activesync, integrated calendar and built-in social network apps for Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. Available on NextG, the phone also includes a 2MP camera, 3.5mm headphone jack and is made from recycled plastics and has a low power consumption charger.

In other words, it’s a pretty basic candybar. But compared to all the other pretty basic candybars on the market, this is actually pretty awesome for the price.
