Motorola Flipout Is A $300 Vodafone Exclusive

Despite the fact that Motorola has all but given up on its first round of Android phones, the new handsets keep on coming. This morning, they've announced that the Flipout, a small, squarish handset running Android 2.1, will be available exclusively through Vodafone.

Running a newer version of Motoblur and available in a range of colours, the square, palm-sized handset with a pivot hinge hiding a 5-row QWERTY keypad will set you back $299 outright. That's not too bad for a compact little smartphone, but if you're hoping for a Froyo update, this may not be the best option given Moto's current plans for Android upgrades.
