According to a report from Lucy Battersby at the SMH, NBNCo has decided to freeze its tender process until the government sorts its shit out and decides who’s going to actually govern the country.
More specifically, NBNCo has put a freeze on new tenders or any new significant contracts, rather than completely put down tools and get paid to do nothing. Some existing tender processes will be delayed until after the new government is decided.
Here’s hoping the government gets sorted sooner rather than later so we can know whether or not we’re getting fast broadband in our lifetimes…
