The ABC Actually Pays Its Staff To Play With Lego

Lego. Quite possibly the greatest toy in the history of mankind. Not only does it offer kids the ability to develop their imagination, fine motor skills and creativity, it also allows adults to do the same thing. And according to Amanda Meade at the Australian, the ABC is using it to encourage staff to create their vision of the future for the ABC as part of a team building competition.

Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? But according the Australian article, some killjoys at the ABC actually think the attempt to incite creativity with Lego is childish. One senior broadcaster was quoted as saying, “What’s next? Finger-painting and plasticine?”

What a douche. I know plenty of people who would love a job where they get to play with Lego at work. I’m one of them.
