Just in case you weren’t happy with the vast range of satnav apps available for the iPhone already, there’s now another all-Aussie option called Mocal. On the upside, they’ll let you use the full version of the app for free for the first 30 days.
Because Mocal is an all-Australian app, they’ve partnered with Australian search companies like TrueLocal, Eatability, NAVTEQ onboard and Motormouth, and they promise a lot more to come in the future. They also offer information on things like the cheapest petrol on your route.
After the 30 day trial period ends, it is a subscription model, with charges sitting at $10 for a 30 day pass, $50 for an annual pass and $60 for a three-year pass. Actually, that sounds pretty reasonable compared to the $100 for TomTom’s app…
