JR: Visit The Award-Winning Artist’s Work Around The World

Street artist JR may try to keep his identity semi-anonymous, but that hasn’t stopped him from giving talks and interviews, creating a web presence and becoming the 2011 TED Talk prize winner. So, clearly, connecting with his audience takes precedence — this is where his new app for iPad comes in.

What does it do?

The app is a collection of JR’s entire body of work. You’ll be taken through Paris, Israel, Kenya and Brazil as you jump around from projects laid out on a world map, all from the comfort of your own home.

Why do we like it?

All of the work you’ll find in the app is technically also available on his website, but the gorgeous Retina display-optimized features, videos, and photos warrant the additional download. Plus, viewing his body of work as displayed on the map gives you an appreciation for the sheer scope of his work, touching on places you might very likely have never seen otherwise.
