Much like Broadway does with the Tonys in the US, the Society of London Theatre issues Olivier Awards to recognise the United Kingdom's best theatrical productions. This year, they pretty much all went to Harry Potter: The Next Generation.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is like pure Potter concentrate; that is to say, the plot twists come thick and they come fast, and they are all pretty much ridiculous. Here are the absolute craziest moments from the new play -- some awesome, some outrageously horrible, but all of them completely insane.
The play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been in production for a bit, but the script was released in book form yesterday. The plot is full of big revelations, but we've decided to focus on the information that isn't actually a spoiler -- just some the events that have occurred in-between the end of Deathly Hallows and the beginning of The Cursed Child.
We have the very first photos of the Potters in the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play. Ginny (Poppy Miller) looks like a perfectly normal adult, Albus Severus (Sam Clemmett) looks like an average Hogwarts student and Harry (Jamie Parker) very much looks like he's ready to toss this whole wizarding thing in a lake.
