Director Matthew Vaughn is famously fond of action sequences that look like they were shot all in one take -- filmed in a very specific way designed to convince you that they're real, no matter how impossible that would be.

Both the Kingsman movies and the comics are unafraid to root themselves in the events of the real world -- and no one is particularly safe from being mocked or blown up, no matter how famous they are. But The Golden Circle drew itself back from targeting one figure in particular: Then-Presidential-candidate Donald Trump.
Predicting the future is near impossible -- but that doesn‘t stop us all from having a red hot go. Human beings have been predicting the future since the beginning of history and the results range from the hilarious to the downright uncanny.
One thing all future predictions have in common: they‘re rooted in our current understanding of how the world works. It‘s difficult to escape that mindset. We have no idea how technology will evolve, so our ideas are connected to the technology of today.
Even though directors are in charge of creating movies, selling those movies to people is usually none of their business. Sometimes that can have consequences, like how the "Bohemian Rhapsody" trailer for Suicide Squad reportedly led to a rewrite of the movie's tone and structure. In other cases, it can actual spoil your biggest reveal -- something Kingsman: The Golden Circle director Matthew Vaughn knows all too well.
Imagine you were 10 years old and given five minutes to tear through a toy store. You'd sprint in, grab everything you wanted, and fall down from exhaustion at the end. It would be an amazing time, but with so much happening so fast, what would the real, lasting memory be? That experience, in movie form, is Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle has the umbrella guns, missile-firing cars, and suit-wearing secret agents that you've been wanting to see. More surprisingly, the second movie to spring from the Kingsman/The Secret Service comic-book franchise makes a good case for what can be gained in adapting works across different mediums, like a heart beating underneath all that explosive cheesy popcorn.

In a sea of Hollywood comic book and superhero movie franchise, Kingsman stands apart. The first movie, The Secret Service, was based on the comic co-created by Mark Millar and Watchmen's Dave Gibbons. But while the comic sold well, it was the movie adaptation that became a blockbuster, earning rave reviews, $US400 million ($507 million) at the worldwide box office, and a sequel, The Golden Circle -- a sequel based on no comic at all.
Video: For all its style and slickly choreographed fight sequences, Fox's Kingsman franchise is way more interested in being ridiculously fun to watch than anything else. That's not to suggest that a grappling umbrella isn't cool (it totally is), but rather, Kingsman knows that it's that much flyer because of how insane it is.
