A former Facebook executive is trying to sprinkle some niceties onto his ruthless drag of social media - at least when it comes to one social media company in particular. Former vice president of user growth Chamath Palihapitiya recently told an audience at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, "I think we have created tools that are ripping apart the social fabric of how society works." But yesterday, two days after Facebook responded to his damning criticism, Palihapitiya walked back on his comments.
