A Quiet Place is effective not just because it's a good horror story, but because of how many questions it doesn't answer. But that doesn't mean there aren't things we're still eager to know. Luckily, director, co-writer and star John Krasinski is here to explain things. Most importantly: How the hell can people fart in the world of A Quiet Place without dying?

Up until a few weeks ago, John Krasinski was best known as that dude who starred on the American version of The Office. That all changed with the success of horror sensation A Quiet Place, which he directed, co-wrote and also stars in. Now we know the filmmaker will be moving from horror to sci-fi for his next project.

With its quality scares, high tension, great characters and exceptional filmmaking, A Quiet Place is a movie that sticks with you long after you leave the theatre. However, out of everything in the film, one thing stayed with me more than anything else.

A Quiet Place, directed by John Krasinski, is a superlative horror film because it does all the little things right. It stars simple, relatable characters who live in a well-defined yet fascinating world, and face a terrifying, but wholly understandable, villain. When the building blocks of a movie are that solid, it's no surprise everything that follows is so damn good. A Quiet Place was built right.

Video: You'd think after living in a world where most of the human population had been decimated by vicious monsters who hunt things by listening to the sounds they make, everyone would have gotten the memo to stop shouting outside. And yet, the final trailer for the John Krasinski-directed A Quiet Place reminds us, that is not the case.
