We do love a Portege laptop around these parts, and Toshiba’s lopped a bit more weight off this latest R830 series. Weighing 1.4kg and measuring shy of an inch thick, the R830 is for business users, but there’ll also be four models in the R835 consumer series.
All those ultraportables using Intel’s ULV Core processors just got taken to school: Toshiba’s Portégé R700 is as light as a MacBook Air, as powerful as a MacBook Pro, and measures an inch thick with a DVD drive. Standard.
