We’re hardly the target audience for a pink phone and Lady Gaga-esque visuals, but Nokia’s latest commercial does make me laugh. Or weep, when I remember that Nokia’s stock prices are at a 13-year low.
Occasionally, Nokia will show flashes of their former greatness, reminding us why they used to be one of the most relevant mobile phone companies in the world. This idea for shortcuts on the lockscreen, is one of those occasional moments.
The US team isn’t going to review the Nokia N8. They describe it as “irrelevant before it launched… Like a top-of-the-line horse-drawn carriage released shortly after Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon.” But should you still be interested in the phone, it’s launching November 1 in Australia.
