Almost the entirety of the nations of Argentina and Uruguay, were “completely without power” following a “massive failure” in an electrical system on Sunday, Bloomberg and CNN reported, with parts of Paraguay, Chile and southern Brazil seeing outages as well. The Federal Government have committed to a 10-year national infrastructure plan that seeks to reduce congestion, improve safety and create jobs. However, according to Australian Automobile Association (AAA), the funding for transport infrastructure has declined by almost $2 billion over the forward estimates compared to last year’s budget.
