While there had been some murmuring that AT&T’s gimped HSUPA upload speeds were getting back to normal, we’ve now got official word that the software fix has been deployed and will roll out over the next two to three weeks.
The official word on the crappy upload speeds AT&T customers were seeing all around the United States: a software defect. It looks like Alcatel-Lucent’s equipment blew up, which crippled HSUPA performance. The bad news? The “appropriate software fix” is still coming.
