With less than a month to go before Samsung’s Unpacked event, it seems that the specs for the upcoming Samsung clamshell smartphone have leaked.
The details come from one Twitter’s usual suspects, Ishan Agarwal, who posted camera, battery, and display titbits for what we’re all currently calling the Galaxy Z Flip. The most notable absence is that of the 108 megapixel camera that we first got whiff of last month. The super high-res 108-MP sensor has actually been rumoured to be making its debut on the Galaxy S20 (formerly S11) so while it wasn’t necessarily expected to be included on the handset, I imagine those of you waiting on the second iteration of the Fold might be somewhat disappointed.
More confirmations on Galaxy Z Flip: 6.7inch Dynamic AMOLED Displya, 12MP Main Camera (not 108MP, obviously). 10MP Front Camera and 256GB Storage as told earlier. One UI 2.1, 3300mAH or 3500mAH Battery (some confusion regarding that). Black and Purple colours. https://t.co/U4GA46Qj1r

Now onto what it does have. Or is rumoured to be having. You get the gist. The Galaxy Z Flip is reported to be sporting a 6.7-inch AMOLED glass display rather than plastic. This could be the Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) we first heard about last year. It’s said to have a 10MP front-facing camera, and a 12MP main camera. We’re looking at 256GB storage and a battery capacity of either 3300 or 3500 mAh. And it’ll come in black and purple – hopefully that’s actual purple, rather than Google’s sad purple-ish attempt. It’s off-white!
While that’s not much to go on, it’s better than the diddly squat details we had yesterday, so come and fortify yourselves with these tiny nugs of info until the inevitable avalanche of leaks about the handset we have to look forward to. [Trusted Reviews]
