It seems Amazon’s push to have Alexa in all areas of our lives continues: details of a new Ring Chime Pro have surfaced ahead of CES next week, and it appears to contain full Alexa support.
The Ring Chime Pro isn’t a doorbell by itself; it’s an addition to a Ring doorbell system that extends the Wi-Fi signal and gives Ring notifications anywhere in your home. But if the latest leaked image of Ring Chime Pro 2 is anything to go by, it looks like the next iteration will be a vastly improved device with a full speak, and likely full Alexa functionality.
The image, posted by industry expert Dave Zatz on Twitter, follows a posting on the FCC website back in November confirming the existence of a second generation Ring Chime Pro. But Zatz’s shared image gives us a much better look at what we might expect from the upcoming device:
Speaking of CES, here’s the Ring Chime Pro *2* — looks like it’s got a full-on speaker and Alexa, maybe like an Echo Flex. pic.twitter.com/onVChand4N

It certainly looks a lot more advanced than the current Ring Chime Pro, but of course this isn’t solid confirmation that it will contain Alexa functionality. The blue light in the top-right hand corner appears to be a telltale sign, but it’s still possible it’s merely a fancy standby light. Our money’s on Alexa, though.
We won’t have to wait much longer to find out: CES kicks off this week, where Amazon will no doubt have a big presence to discuss new Ring products along with its other product ranges. [Pocket-Lint]
