Samsung’s latest smartphone isn’t due to be unveiled for a couple of weeks, but the latest video leak leaves pretty much nothing to the imagination.

Remember the good old days, when smartphone launches were heady with anticipation, because we knew so very little about new handsets? The possibilities were endless as to what manufacturers had in store for those of us who breathlessly watch the premium handset market.

Yeah, those were nice times while they lasted, but in 2020, just like in 2019, the rate of quite credible leaks leaves very little to the imagination, and nowhere moreso than with Samsung’s Galaxy S20 handsets.

The latest leak (noticed via Ausdroid) comes from MobileFun. They’ve got hold of dummy models of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra, typically built so that case makers can get to work, and from that they’ve essentially confirmed all the details we’d already seen elsewhere. 6.2 inch, 6.7 inch and 6.9 inch screens? Check. Big ol’ rectangular camera array on the back? Checkity check.

So what does that leave for Samsung to actually “reveal” about the Galaxy S20 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11? You might think pricing, but that’s already out in the wild.

Availability ” and particularly Australian availability is something of a slightly-unknown quantity, although it’s not too much guesswork to suggest that you’ll be able to get them from the major carriers on contract as well as directly from Samsung itself.

So far we’ve only seen small glimpses as to what kind of software experiences Samsung might be putting into its latest series of premium phones, so there’s still scope there for some genuine surprises.
