CLIT: Surprisingly Easy To Find

CLIT: Surprisingly Easy To Find

The International Conference on Cloud and Internet of Things is coming to Sydney in March.

While seeing those words strung together is enough to put some people to sleep, you might be more interested in the official acronym for the event: CLIT 2020.

As hilarious and unbelievable as it is, CLIT 2020 is actually quite a serious event, which makes it even funnier. It will touch on topics such as IoT and Cloud applications, Cloud services and Cloud computing architecture.

We have reached out to CLIT for comment on its name, but we have a few ideas on how it came about. Looking at the committee list, it seems like English could be a second language for many of the members.

It’s possible they had no idea about the very different meaning ‘clit’ has in Australia. This is absolutely fair and we are in no way trying to make fun of anyone who utilises English as a second language. We all know that English is a trash fire that stole from everyone else, anyway.

A Google search also revealed that all 10 members of the committee seem to be men. We’ll let you concoct your own jokes around clit knowledge gaps there.

In regards to the event itself, apparently the CLIT is located in Penrith. It’s running from March 28 – 29 and CLIT submissions will be accepted up until January 26.

If you’re interested in attending and are having trouble finding the CLIT, the website has detailed directions and maps for you.
