Samsung’s Big Daddy Curved Gaming Monitor Is Coming To Australia

Samsung just announced that its latest big-arse 49-inch curved gaming monitor is heading to Australia.

Not only is it an absolute unit, it’s the world’s first 240Hz curvy gaming boy.

Named the CRG9, it contains a 5120 x 1440 QLED display, 1800R curve and NVIDIA G-SYNC capability. And like we mentioned, a 240Hz refresh rate so you don’t have to get sad over lag.

This isn’t the first 49-inch gaming monitor that Samsung has injected into the market – the $1,799 144Hz version is still on offer.

“Samsung has designed the new monitors to offer an awesome experience that’s immersive and can give gamers an edge over their competition ” whatever their game is,” said Phil Gaut, Director of Display and Memory Solutions, Samsung Electronics Australia.

“Our curved monitors are designed to create a field of view that displays content right up to the edges, so gamers can take in all the action. With the introduction of two new curved monitors, Australian gamers now have more options when it comes to finding the monitor best suited to their style of play.”

The CRG9 will be available from late August and have an RRP of $2,599.

If 49-inches and curved is too much for you to handle, Samsung is also releasing a new regular monitor in late September for $599.
