Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Active 2 Might Be Launching Early Based on a Leaked Promo Image

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 was expected to be revealed at the Samsung’s Unpacked event but it looks like we may get our mitts on it earlier than that.

A press shot of the watches has leaked on Twitter, showing a pink model sprawled across a larger black one, with both displays bearing the date of August 5.

Unpacked is taking place on August 8, leading to speculation that this is a subtle hint of the watch’s launch which will get out ahead of Unpacked, perhaps so it can bask in the limelight for a couple of days before getting overshadowed by the hotly-anticipated Galaxy Note 10.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is rumoured to be launching with three models in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm – in sporty and not-sporty variants.

The black model looks identical to a leaked image of the watch we saw earlier this month, complete with the mysterious little red ring around the power button, that may actually just be nothing other than a bit of decoration.

Either way, we’re not that far our from Unpacked now and the leaks are coming thick and fast, so stay tuned.
