During the pre-order period only, you can get the 512GB/8GB version of the Note9 for the same price as the 128GB version — $1,499, saving $300. The RRP for the 512GB will be $1,799 from August 24.
This basically means that you can’t get the smaller version until release day. And hey, maybe that’s the one you desperately want for some reason. If so, you’ll need to wait until August 24.
