Netgear just dropped its latest Orbi WiFi Systems – the RBK23 and RBK20. Coming with a router and satellite, its designed for large Wi-Fi coverage and improved mesh networking up to 555 square meters – that’s twice the size of a tennis court.
The 2.2GPbps Wi-Fi is enhanced by FastLane3, and the coverage increased by four high-gain internal antennas. It has dedicated Tri-Band Wi-Fi and works on a single network name. It can also be controlled through voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
“No matter the size of your home, you deserve the best WiFi experience possible,” said David Henry, senior vice president of Connected Home Products for Netgear.
“The new Orbi RBK23 router and satellite will push your Wi-Fi coverage to the edge of your home, up to 555 square metres. Orbi eliminates dead spots due to challenging building materials, as it’s easy to add another satellite if needed, under the same network name. With our patented industry-first Tri-band WiFi, you can stream your favorite TV series in the upstairs master bedroom while your kids are playing rapid-fire online games in the media room downstairs, all without a hitch.”
Here are the key features of the Orbi:
- 2.2Gbps with up to 555 square metres of coverage
- FastLane3
- Single Wi-Fi network
- Smart parental controls
- Guest Wi-Fi network that allows access with sharing the main network password
- 2 Gigabit ethernet ports

Netgear’s new Orbi Home WiFi System is available in Australia now and comes in two variants — $369 for the single satellite router and $499 for a double satellite router.
