Earlier today Acer announced a special edition release of its 15.6-inch Predator Helios 300. In addition to being very, very pretty – it also comes with some neat upgrades.
The white and gold edition of the Helios 300 will boast an updated 8th gen Core i7+ processor, new 144Hz 1080p display, NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU and Dual AeroBlade 3D cooling system.
This is the first time the Helios has included the fans. They can be controlled by the PredatorSense app and offer Coolboost, normal and silent modes.

I’m not usually one to be seduced by special edition releases, but this one has definitely captured my attention. Even though I know it would get filthy in my grubby hands in about an hour, I can’t help but fantasise about it sitting on my desk. Sigh.
To coincide with the new Helios 300, Acer are also releasing a suite of matching accessories – including a white and gold edition of its new Cestus 510 mouse, white and gold Galea 500 headphones, a fabric mousepad and a Rolltop Jr. Backpack. They are all super sexy too.
Unfortunately we don’t have any information on pricing and release date as yet.
