Eerie Drone Footage Of A Ghost Town Near Chernobyl

On April 26 1986 the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Ukraine suffered one of the worst nuclear catastrophes the world has ever seen.

Thirty-two years later, the town of Pripyat, which was close to the reactor still stands abandoned, slowly being reclaimed by nature. Thanks to drone footage, we can see how the ghost city looks today – eerie, and to a certain extent, beautiful.

Here is some drone footage captured by the Wall Street Journal in 2016 of how the area looks today. The ferris wheel and bumper cars are particularly striking.
