At this point it’s news to no one that John Boyega is a huge Star Wars fan, but more surprisingly as the lead actor and producer on modern monster movie Pacific Rim, he wasn’t much of a fan of Godzilla.
We sat down for a chat with John Boyega last week while he was in Sydney for Pacific Rim: Uprising, a film that grauitously depicts the destruction of quite a bit of Sydney’s harbourside. We asked John about his sci-fi inspirations, representation in genre film and why he doesn’t like the original kaiju film, Godzilla.
