Video: I wasn’t ready to see a live-action Winnie the Pooh this morning. I just wasn’t.

But the first trailer for Disney’s Christopher Robin is here. It stars Ewan McGregor as the title character, a man who, as a boy, spent a lot of time in the Hundred Acre Wood with Pooh and his friends. However, Christopher Robin has now grown up and he needs Pooh’s help to get his life back together.
Christopher Robin is directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland), co-stars Hayley Atwell, and features the voices of Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh, Chris O’Dowd as Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga. Check out the brief teaser trailer.
That’s both heartbreaking and delightfully ripe with possibilities. Just how visually grand will this movie get? We have a little while to wait. Disney’s Christopher Robin doesn’t open until September 13.
