I Would Happily Rewatch Paddington 2 With All Of The Visual Effects Removed

I Would Happily Rewatch Paddington 2 With All Of The Visual Effects Removed

With 98 and 100 per cent scores on Rotten Tomatoes, you’re missing out if you haven’t seen 2015’s delightful Paddington, or the sequel that came out this year. Even more delightful is this behind-the-scenes look at some of the visual effects from Paddington 2, which reveals how actors perform with a tiny bear that’s never actually on set.

Watching a stagehand stuff food into Brendan Gleeson’s mouth while the actor holds a sand bag in the air (where Paddington is to be digitally added later) might be my favourite VFX reveal of all time. If StudioCanal were to release Paddington 2 again with all of the visual effects removed, I bet audiences would find it just as enjoyable as the finished product.
