There are lots of reasons the Back to the Future films are considered one of the best trilogies of all time, not the least of which being Christopher Lloyd’s Doc Emmett Brown. The character is what most people think of when they hear the term “mad scientist,” and Juliana LePine manages to perfectly capture his wide-eyed stare with this custom action figure she sculpts from hand.
To those of us who still struggle with making simple Play-Doh snakes, LePine’s sculpting skills are nothing short of wizardry. She starts with nothing but a blank human skull and a crude wire armature for the figure’s body, but ends up recreating Doc Brown’s most recognisable features, including his bushy eyebrows, wild grey hair, ill-fitting jumpsuit, and even that hacked-together remote he uses to drive his time-travelling DeLorean.
